I was thrilled with my stay! The rooms with a balcony were incredible within my budget, and the hotel staff were really friendly. However, the dining options could use a little improvement. The hotel is perfect if you're looking for a cozy and excellent stay.
The hotel is perfectly clean, and the rooms through the Agonda website were good and very clean. The service was very helpful with providing meals even when we arrived late on our first night, and they were very friendly and provided perfect service. The location is great to sit and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee in the morning or in the evening, being in a centralised location in town. The dining experience was pleasing, partly suited to our group of westerners on an Intrepid/Peregrine tour. Inside a jungle ambiance, the breakfast was superb and excellent, which is complimentary.
The hotel is located uphill, with rooms in a separate building from the reception and restaurant. The rooms have excellent views, and the balcony is delightful, though there is no AC, and keeping windows closed is necessary to prevent monkeys from entering. The service is cooperative, but communication can be challenging at times. The hotel's location is at the edge of the forest, close to town but a bit busy. The dining options are a mix of South Indian specialties and Western dishes, and the buffet offers a variety of choices. Overall, the stay was enjoyable with some minor inconveniences.
